These terms cover your use of the spellsafe app for macOS and the spellsafe.ai website. By downloading or using spellsafe, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Using spellsafe

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use spellsafe on Macs you own or control. You may not sell, rent or redistribute the app, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows it.

Your content

What you dictate is yours. spellsafe processes it on your Mac and we never receive it. You are responsible for what you dictate and where the app types it, including in shared documents, messages and email.

Accuracy

Speech recognition and AI cleanup can make mistakes. They may mishear words, change meaning, or type into the wrong window if focus changes. Check important text before you send or rely on it. Don't use spellsafe where an error could cause harm, such as medical, legal or safety-critical records, without reviewing the result.

Third-party models and software

spellsafe uses open models and libraries, including NVIDIA Parakeet, Qwen3 and FluidAudio, which are licensed by their owners under their own terms. Models are downloaded from Hugging Face, and Apple's speech features are provided by macOS. Those services are not controlled by us.

Updates and availability

We may change, update or discontinue spellsafe or any feature. We are not obliged to provide support or updates.

No warranty

spellsafe is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, text or profits, arising from your use of spellsafe. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app, if any.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what spellsafe stores and when it connects to the internet.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date above. Continuing to use spellsafe after a change means you accept the new terms.
